Pour Over Coffee Timer: Gota

Gota is the pour over coffee timer and brew journal for people who take filter coffee seriously. Whether you're dialing in your morning V60 or trying a new AeroPress recipe, Gota gives you everything you need to brew with confidence. 93 BREWING METHODS, OVER 1,000 RECIPES From the classic Bialetti moka pot with Hoffmann and Rao variations, to V60, AeroPress, Chemex, French Press, Kalita Wave, Clever Dripper, Origami, Orea, cold brew and siphon. Recipes signed by working baristas and World Brewers Cup finalists, each with dose, water, ratio, grind size, temperature and timed pour steps. GUIDED BREW TIMER Start any recipe and follow along with a real-time timer that walks you through every step — bloom, pour, wait, swirl. Visual cues and sound alerts keep you on track without watching the clock. BLUETOOTH SCALES Connect a compatible Acaia scale for live weight, pour flow and target-weight cues during timed brews. Save the pour curve with your brew and revisit it in History. Using a scale is optional. VOICE GUIDANCE AND VOICE CONTROL Gota reads every step at the right moment and you answer back: say "Done", "Pause" or "Finish" and the brew moves on without you touching the screen. With wet hands, that helps. It only turns on if you turn it on. LIVE BREW VIDEO Film your brew with the camera and the app cuts the video for you: steps, weights and times burned over your own footage, closing on your rating. Ready to share. AI BARISTA Before the first pour, the barista reads your past brews with that coffee, your gear and how fresh the beans are, and hands you the setup. After the cup, it suggests one single change to nail the next one. AI RECIPE & BEAN SCANNING Snap a photo of a recipe card or a coffee bag label and let Gota extract the details automatically. No more typing. BREW JOURNAL Log every cup with a rating, flavor tags and tasting notes. Over time you'll see which recipes and beans suit your palate — and where your taste is drifting. INSIGHTS See your current coffee and a suggested next brew, then explore your brewing patterns and history based on the cups you've logged. BEAN TRACKER Keep a library of your coffee beans — roaster, origin, process, roast level. Link every bag to your brews and find what pairs best with each method. GRIND GUIDE AND YOUR GRINDERS Visual grind size chart from extra fine to extra coarse, with per-method recommendations. Add the grinders you own and every recipe's grind shows up in your own grinder's clicks. CREATE YOUR OWN RECIPES Build custom recipes with full control over steps, pour targets, flow rates and timing. Share them via QR code or link. LEARN 39 lessons across five chapters — the bean, foundations, methods, techniques and cupping — with interactive demos and a 51-term glossary for when a word gets in the way. ALSO INSIDE Cold brew assistant, extraction calculator with the SCA brewing control chart, compatible filters for every method, and a home for your gear. DESIGNED FOR FOCUS Clean, minimal interface that stays out of the way.
