“What was so good at that café again?” “What was that inn we stayed at last year called?” “Come to think of it, I’d love to go back to that park.” Keeping a diary is hard because writing is work. RONDO is a personal journal that keeps the places you visit on a map with nothing more than a photo and a short note. When you record from a photo, the place name, weather and temperature fill themselves in, so a record takes seconds. As records build up, RONDO turns them into short videos called Memories, in three styles: Digest, Flyover and Slideshow. You choose the aspect ratio before saving. A journal just for you that no one else sees. Your records are stored only on your iPhone and in iCloud, and not even the developer can see them. No account is needed. Main features - Customize the map with photo stickers Cut the background out of a photo that doesn’t need its own record, and stick it on the map. Touch up the cutout with your finger, and add one of six effects that come alive as you tilt your iPhone. - Fly over your day on a 3D map Flyover visits the places where you took photos that day, in order. A pin drops at each one, and its photos play beside the map. - Layer records onto a place Photos, a short note, a 5-star rating and tags, right where you are. Weather and temperature are saved for you, and records build up each time you return. - Your route, drawn for you Turn on “Movement recording” and your path is drawn on the map, even with the app closed. You can hide hours you’d rather not show. A place becomes a record only when you tap it. - Videos, too Record a video to keep the sound and movement. Add it to a record and it becomes a clip in Digest. - On the spot Tap “Current location” on the Record screen to save where you are. Add a name and photos later. - A whole day’s photos at once Tap “Record all at once” on the Record screen. Unrecorded photos are grouped by where you took them, earliest first, with the places filled in. Fix anything that’s off and record them all. - Even without a photo With “Movement recording” on, places where you spent 10 minutes or more show up as suggestions under “Places You Stopped” in the day’s Log. Tap one to record it. Suggestions stay only on your iPhone, for up to 30 days. - Look back on a day The Log shows the map and timeline together, with the day’s places, photos, steps and distance. - Trace memories through the calendar A calendar with a photo on each day you recorded. One tap jumps to the same day a week, a month or a year ago. - A day’s records on a single card Share a day as one card image, set on a 3D map or one of the day’s photos. When 4 or more records have photos, “Grid” shows one from each, up to 12 on a Portrait card. - Look back through data Countries you’ve visited fill in on a world map, and the rest stay as outlines, so you can see what’s left. Tap a number in “Statistics” to see the places or photos behind it. - Your iPhone helps with the writing It drafts your Day summary, takes the ums out of dictated notes and suggests tags that fit, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. Also included - Check in at a spot to keep just the date and time - Snapshot, for places with no name - Albums for multi-day trips, with the map - Every place as a pin, with tag, category and rating filters - Edit photos and videos in the app - Find a recorded place with Spotlight or Siri - A reminder of what you wrote when you pass a place you haven’t visited in a year - Alerts near places you’ve bookmarked - Widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen - 9 color themes, each in light and dark - Steps and distance walked from Health, in your Log - Optimized for iPad and landscape - Available in 11 languages What RONDO is - Not a social network No posting, no followers, no likes. - Not a review site No public scores or reviews, just what you actually felt. - Any kind of place Cafés, trips, a little spot you found on a walk. - Made by one developer No ads, no subscriptions.
