Viativity: for Motion Sickness

Look forward to the journey, not just the destination! Don't let motion sickness (kinetosis), seasickness, or fear of flying ruin your vacation. Viativity™ is your digital wellness companion, helping you find your inner balance so you can finally enjoy traveling again. Why do we get motion sick? It is usually a simple misunderstanding in the body: Your eyes report a standstill (e.g., staring at a phone in a car, or inside a windowless ship cabin), while your inner ear feels every curve. Your brain sounds the alarm. How Viativity helps you: Without empty promises, but with science-backed methods, the app provides targeted tools to resolve this sensory conflict or to actively calm your nervous system. 1. Relief for Motion & Seasickness Artificial Horizon: Ship passengers often use a half-filled water bottle on a table to simulate the horizon. Viativity digitalizes this principle: It uses your phone's sensors to display the real-time movement of the vehicle on your screen. Your eyes finally see what your ear feels – gently resolving the conflict in your brain. 100Hz Sound Modulation: A deep audio frequency (headphones required) gently stimulates your vestibular system (inner ear) to dampen the sensory conflict. P6 Acupressure: An interactive guide showing you exactly how to find and massage the Nei-Kuan point on your wrist to send calming signals to your stomach. 2. Situational Breathing (Nausea, Fear of Flying, Stress & Panic) When inner restlessness rises or you feel queasy, your breath is your strongest anchor. Choose from 4 specific rhythms tailored to your state (e.g., the 4-7-8 rhythm to dampen fear of flying or the 4-2-6 pacing for nausea). The effect: A consciously prolonged exhale specifically activates your calming nerve (vagus nerve). This signals safety to the brain and instantly ramps down acute stress and panic reactions. Gentle smartphone vibrations guide you blindly through the rhythm – just close your eyes and relax. 3. Preventive Training (Before your trip) Mental Rotation: A 3D vision training. Trained spatial awareness demonstrably helps the brain process motion data more efficiently. Body Balance: Nausea is often preceded by postural instability. Train your core stability with closed eyes (via audio & haptic feedback only). Focus: Bind your visual attention to gently tune out disruptive motion stimuli. A fair Swiss passion project Developed by a solo developer from Switzerland, Viativity stands for absolute fairness: Pay once (the price of an airport coffee) and use it forever. Family Sharing: Buy once, share with your whole family for free (via Apple Family Sharing). No subscriptions, no hidden costs. 100% ad-free. 100% offline usage – ideal for airplane mode or on the open sea without expensive ship Wi-Fi. Full data privacy: No registration, no tracking. All data stays locally on your device. Accessible: Fully supports dynamic font sizes and screen readers (VoiceOver) for effortless use, even when reading is difficult. Radical Transparency (Please read before buying): Sensors: Your smartphone strictly requires a gyro sensor (gyroscope) to use the artificial horizon. Headphones: Mandatory for the 100Hz sound modulation, as phone speakers cannot reproduce these low frequencies. Haptics: Vibration intensity depends entirely on your specific device hardware. Not a medical device: Viativity is a wellness application designed to increase general well-being during travel. It does not provide diagnoses and does not replace medical treatment. In case of persistent discomfort, please consult a physician.
