Fountain Pen Ink Journal

Fountain Pen Ink Journal is the calm, private home for your whole fountain pen hobby. Catalog your inks and pens, always know what's inked right now, and keep a beautiful writing journal — all on your device, with no account and no subscription. Built for fountain pen people, by someone who kept forgetting which pen was loaded with what. KNOW WHAT'S INKED — RIGHT NOW The home dashboard shows every pen you currently have inked, paired with the exact ink inside it and how many days it's been loaded. No more uncapping five pens to remember what's in each one. NEVER LET A NIB DRY OUT When a pen has sat inked for 21 days or more, it's gently flagged as needing attention — a quiet nudge to write it down or flush it before the ink dries and clogs the feed. When you clean a pen, one tap flushes it to your history, where you can rate how the pairing wrote. A LIVING INK LIBRARY Your inks aren't flat color chips. Each swatch is rendered the way the ink really behaves — base color, darker shading where ink pools, sheen, and shimmer. Search by brand or name, filter by color family, star your favorites, and record wetness, dry time, water resistance, and your own review and rating for every bottle. SEE YOUR COLLECTION BY COLOR The interactive Color Wheel plots every ink by hue and saturation — saturated inks sit at the rim, neutrals cluster in the center. It's a genuinely useful way to spot the gap in your collection (that teal you keep meaning to buy) and a lovely way to just look at your inks. Tap any node to preview and open the full ink. A PROPER PEN CABINET Track every pen with brand, model, nib size, filling system, material, price, and notes. Each pen gets its own custom-rendered "spine" artwork in your body and trim colors, so your cabinet looks like a real shelf. Favorite the pens you reach for most. A WRITING JOURNAL Pair a writing-sample photo with the pen, ink, and paper you used, add notes and a rating, and browse a clean newest-first feed. No photo yet? Entries show an auto-generated, ink-colored writing placeholder so your journal always looks complete. A WISHLIST THAT ADDS UP Keep the pens and inks you're dreaming about, set a priority and estimated price, and see your running total spend. Mark anything as acquired in a tap when it finally arrives. COMPLETELY PRIVATE Everything lives on your device. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no servers, no ads, and no tracking — confirmed in the app's privacy manifest. Your collection is yours alone. NO SUBSCRIPTION One app, every feature, no in-app purchases. iPhone and iPad, with a layout that adapts to both. GET STARTED IN SECONDS On first launch you can load an example collection to explore the app fully, or start with a clean slate and add your first pen and ink right away. Whether you have three pens or three hundred bottles, Fountain Pen Ink Journal keeps your hobby organized, your nibs healthy, and your inks a joy to look at.
