Peekly alternative for indie developers

Peekly's pricing page describes a single plan with full access and no credits to watch. It lists $29 monthly, $72 per quarter and $240 per year, and the yearly card reads $20 per month billed yearly. It says you can cancel in one click.

AppHitlist is also one paid plan with everything in it, monthly or yearly, cancel anytime from the account page. So the price gap is not about tiers. It is about scope: Peekly pays for two stores and extras like paywalls, AppHitlist for one store.

Peekly's methodology page says it collects public store facts directly and stores daily ranking snapshots. Monthly revenue and some downloads are estimates from third-party market-intelligence figures or its internal model. It also notes that its 'Estimated MRR' means monthly store revenue, not verified subscription MRR, and can exclude ad revenue and web checkout.

AppHitlist's estimates come from its own algorithm, applied to the chart lists Apple publishes publicly, and are refreshed daily. Neither tool publishes an error range. Use both as a direction for picking a market, not as accounting.

Both tools have a free account, so you can look before you pay. A common split: use Peekly when the idea might ship on Android too, or when you want to study paywalls and TikTok content. Use AppHitlist when the idea is iOS first and you want complaint themes and daily chart climbers.

They do not replace an ASO platform or your own App Store Connect numbers. Peekly's Keyword Explorer, for example, is labeled keyword research only.
